Mapau's New Initiative

The first Mapau family is a unique one; nine beautiful children and their parents, rescued by Mapau's management and staff from the poverty and crime of Trinidad's Beetham and environs.

Trinidad and Tobago is today, facing an upsurge in crime. The poverty riddled areas of this twin island nation, are infested with youths who have little opportunity to find economic and essentially, personal empowerment. Born into a cycle of hand to mouth living, the youths of areas such as Laventille, Beetham, Sealots and East Port-Of-Spain, have little chance of mental survival.

The Mapau members, its staff and management have solemnly vowed to come to the aid of our nation's deprived youth, one family at a time. It is our goal to show the nation that with a greater sense of togetherness within our communities, we can bring Trinidad and Tobago back to the paradise that it once was!

This website will provide a view into the lives of all the Mapau Families, their hardships and their survival stories. It is our hope that through this medium, many more helpful hands will lean forward, to guide, protect and empower the youths of our nation.

Welcome to the Mapau Family Website. taking back our twin island paradise, One Family At A Time!
